FAQ: Pool Leaks
How long does the process take?
The day of your scheduled inspection can take anywhere from 3-4 hours depending on the complexity of the leak.
*Please note in the event of rain in the forecast and temperatures below 60 degree , appointments will be rescheduled at no additional cost.
Do I have to drain my pool?
For most inspections, we will not require the pool to be drained.
What is the cancellation policy?
Please provide us with at least a 48 hour notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. There is no cancellation or rescheduling fee.
What is needed to get an estimate?
In order to properly quote we will need a description of the problem, zoomed out images of the pool and filter system, and the number of jets and returns. Feel free to contact us for a free estimate.
How much does it cost?
The cost of a diagnostics varies based on the complexity of the leak(s), pool size, additional areas such as spas, etc.
We do not charge upfront and accept payment only when we are able to find the source of the leak. A 50% deposit is required for projects $1,300 or more. If we cannot diagnose the exact source of the issue then you will not be charged.

What happens if you can’t find the source of the leak?
In rare cases, there is a chance that we won’t find the source of the leak the first time, but not to worry. If our team cannot determine the source of the leak you are either eligible for a rescan at no additional cost or if we feel the situation is too complex for our system to solve, we will terminate the project and you will not be charged for the service provided. We do not collect payment, unless we are sure we can provide you with the answers you need to solve the water leak issue.
Can you conduct a leak detection if the water is not clear?
The water must be treated prior to any scheduled inspection if we have to get in the pool.
What kind of testing do you offer?
We offer a variety of non-invasive services to accurately pinpoint the source of any water loss in your pool or spa system. Such services include a dye test, pressure test of the lines, acoustics, infrared drone scan, and a helium test. The specific testing will be determined by the technician, unless otherwise previously discussed, and is performed as needed. Please see the pool leak detection page on our site for more information about each particular test.
When will I receive my report?
Our target dispatch for a pool leak detection report is a minimum of 3-5 BUSINESS DAYS, excluding weekends and holidays, depending on the complexity of the leak. Upon receipt of payment, your report will be dispatched via email.
*Note: Dispatch date is subject to change, due to the extensive nature of our analytical process.
Will the dye test affect my pool?
Depending on the amount of dye used, it may change the color of the pool, but will be filtered out. The dye is biodegradable and non toxic.
