FAQ: Pressurized Plumbing

How long does the process take?

The inspection process is dependent on the scope of work and number of areas.

For a radiant floor inspection do I have to turn my radiant floor on?

Yes, the radiant floor should be turned on at least 1 hour prior to our scheduled visit.

What is the cancellation policy?

Please provide us with at least a 48 hour notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. There is no cancellation or rescheduling fee.

How much does it cost?

The cost of the inspection depends on a number of factors including the type of leak, area and scope of work. A 50% deposit is required for projects $1,300 or more. Please call the office at 347-536-2971 for a free estimate.

What happens if you can’t find the source of the leak?

In rare cases, there is a chance that we won’t find the source of the leak the first time, but not to worry. If our team cannot determine the source of the leak you are either eligible for a rescan at no additional cost or if we feel the situation is too complex for our system to solve, we will terminate the project and you will not be charged for the service provided. We do not collect payment, unless we are sure we can provide you with the answers you need to solve the water leak issue.

Once I get the report, will you come fix the leak?

No, we are strictly diagnostics. We provide the source of the issues and recommendations for repairs.

Do you use a camera to detect pipe leaks?

Our primary source of conducting leak detections in piping systems is infrared imaging. Depending on the type of leak, we will also incorporate the use of an acoustic microphone borescope, and line tracing equipment.

When will I receive my report?

The report depends on the number of areas and scope of work. Once we receive all the necessary information, we can provide you with a report dispatch time which will also be listed on the estimate.

*Note: Dispatch date is subject to change, due to the extensive nature of our analytical process.

What is needed to get an estimate?

For the fastest estimate, it is always helpful to have zoomed out images of the areas of concern, videos or floor plans if applicable of the areas of concern.

Information needed to quote:

-High Water Bill or Water Loss amount

-1 minute video of the meter

-Number of floors and/or units

-Image of where the line runs from the property to the street.

- For Underground Pipe Leak- approximation of how big the line is
